Join our EMNLP 2026 Special Event
We are hosting an event “Culturally Grounded and Trustworthy NLP: Perspectives from Islamic Media Ethics” at EMNLP 2026 on October 25, 2026, from 16:00 to 17:30 (Budapest local time). The event will take place in Room G9-10, HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress & Exhibition Center.
The event will bring researchers, students, practitioners, and domain scholars together to discuss how NLP systems can be grounded in reliable evidence while respecting cultural context and ethical judgment. Drawing on perspectives from Islamic media ethics, we will explore truthfulness, responsibility, justice, and avoidance of harm in areas such as misinformation, trustworthy question answering, and agentic AI.
Short research presentations and an interactive discussion will address source attribution, uncertainty, differing interpretations, and community participation in evaluation. Participants from all backgrounds and career stages are welcome. Speaker and program details will be announced as they are confirmed.
